Words cannot describe what Anxious for Nothing has meant for our family. We first “randomly” met Karla and Harley at Bedford Skate Park during their original skate outreach. I think we saw them three months in a row there without knowing that it was the day they’d be there. God knew exa
ctly what He was doing.
We have seven children and our entire family has changed since that time. Friday nights are the highlight of the week, every week, for our entire family. It’s so cool to see this ministry in action on every level. For us, our family has seen so much growth spiritually. My husband and I just aren’t the same. We’ve both been believers our entire life but something has shifted through this ministry. We now have kids on fire for Jesus, teens who want to live a life set apart.
As a leader, I see kids pouring their hearts out at that alter every single week. Inspired messages that still spark revival in my own heart. Lives being radically changed on a regular basis. Lasting change. It’s just incredible. I feel honored to be a part of it all.
Jesus has continuously showed up in such an obvious and powerful way, that I can’t even describe it. Revival is happening right here in little ol’ Bedford and Anxious for Nothing gets to be right in the middle of it! How cool is that? A skateboarding ministry. What an unlikely candidate. I love that about God!
“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.””
