We had the privilege of taking a group of young people to Tennessee for the Accelerant youth conference. For most, it was their first conference experience, and they attended for various reasons. Some wanted to escape home, others aimed to learn and bring insights back to their schools, and some sought a closer connection with God. I believe all their reasons were met with God's love and acceptance. Each morning, a different youth shared a devotional, encouraging the group not to waste this opportunity but to seek everything God had planned for the weekend. Initially, many were hesitant to be vulnerable and share their burdens. During the first service, the speaker challenged the audience on their certainty of spending eternity with Christ. Almost our entire group responded to the altar call, eager to affirm the salvation Jesus offers. Service after service, our group answered the altar call with tears, prayers, and hope. While some might view us as merely a gathering place for noisy teens, Anxious for Nothing is much more; it's a place where young people encounter Jesus and love. Our time on the mountain left a lasting impression on these youth, providing them with the blessed assurance of their salvation and the enriching experience of growing together.
