Why I serve...
About nine months ago I met Karla and Harley. I was so amazed to what they were doing so I decided to go with them to serve and feed people. Here is my first experience:
The day was heart wrenching to say the least. Seeing people suffer from addiction, prostitution and just falling short from life tragedies, it was completely devastating. I couldn’t stop crying all the way home. I was speechless. All I wanted to do is to take them and give them everything I have…as I know I couldn’t do that but I felt committed to serve and pray with them. That way I can give unconditional love, support and prayers to whom I now call my friends.
Each week our relationships grow stronger and stronger. Consistency is key with the ministry in which our friends are gaining trust to open up and share their experiences. We give them prayer and encouragement that Jesus loves them. We provide hope that brings a light of easement in their hearts.
Our Lord has showed me the way and I would walk to the end of the earth for our friends we serve and this ministry. Anxious for Nothing is a tremendous ministry and I feel blessed and grateful to be part of it.
In Jesus name, AMEN
